~The Walk of Faith~
[[Chapter 1]]
Harriet slowly walked through the forest, the lantern held tight in her hand. Her dreams almost taking over after taking a dose of some random drug. The walk back to the forest dragged her non-existent shackle in the ground behind her. At least it felt like that to her. Her feet stopped in their path, her face dripping with sweat. Before her she looked into the eyes of another feral wolf. Her eyes glowed in the night. Harriet's eyes just were dim lit and her one black eye seemed to harm the wolf's heart. Why was it that every single time she looked at a wolf in her human form it would drag out their pain? She chose to be the bigger wolf. She slowly moved her pained human feet towards the camp of ITroth.
Suddenly she noticed she was being followed by the wolf. Drowning in the pain in her feet and wrists.
A few hours later, Harriet looked up at the moon and screamed a deathly screach, the moon never seemed to move from its place. It's cold grey heart seemed to keep following her. Why was it always night time for her? Her hand dropped the lantern which she held in her left wrist and the earth around her was plummeted into darkness. She crouched low, and this time, had no choice but to transform into a wolf. She needed to ask Rein and Xyphill something about the darkness and the night.
Her tail slowly started to appear in the darkness of the endless night. Her ears poked out from her dead straight hair and her glowing paws soon came to be. She watched her body start to create her strange markings on her scruff and legs. The scars seemed to glow tonight. And as soon as her wolf eyes came to be, the world was drowned in the light of day, the moon became the deathly sun, and the grass went from normal to bright. Was her mind playing tricks on her once again? What was the drug? What was it doing to her?...
Her eyes scanned the horison for trees that she knew, yet the forest around her seemed to be all new to her, her vision from the night before seemed so real, could they be this? "Wh-...The fuck? What is my mind doing to me? Why is it leading me this way... Whatever you are! Get out of me!" Harriet's eyes glowed bright red and started swirling orange and yellow. Suddenly, everything was once again plummeted into darkness.
[[Chapter 2]]
When she came to, her view was once again different, and she was wearing clothing, she noticed a lantern next to her which was red. She started searching the way she saw this random place. "Why is this jumping around. None of this makes sense!" She slowly stood up and only saw an endless path of dark almost dead trees, almost absolutely black. Murdering itself from the light. The long path of darkness had only a few red flowers, dripping with red liquid. "What is this?" she said, making a confused face as she took the flower from it's sockets. "Your pretty little one," she looked at the drained red flower, the only colour in this dead forest.
"Your pretty too," a deep voice said from behind her, Harriet jumped up instantly, shocked at the voice, she timidly moved her head to see who had said it...
"Wh-wh-wh-who are you?!" Harriet screached. She noticed she was looking into the eyes of the wolf that she found before, in the forest, when she had the lantern.
"You're not a wolf now.." She said, staring into his eyes blankly, her head and mind filled with worry.
"Nope, not now,"
"How?"
"How?.."
"Yes how?!"
"I just changed thats all," His face looked happy, like he had always been the only entity in this dark, swallowing forest, slowly dying.
"Aren't you sad? Why are you smiling? This place isn't fun! Stop smiling!" She said, tears forming in her one black eye and normal eye, tears slowly starting the trickle down her face. "Why am I here? Why are you here? Why are we here?" she continued on with the un-answerable questions,
"Stop crying," His voice was soft in her ear, his breath flowing down her back, he rested a hand on her cheek, and as he did so, it seemed to calm her down "Now, may I ask, your name?" He continued to speak in a calm manor. She seemed to stop crying as he held her in his arms.
"My name is Harriet..." She said into his shirt, but all he did was stair at her, blankly.
"Harriet... Harriet?" he continue to stair at her, confused "Harriet..."
"Yes. Harriet, just harriet. I have no last name, I do not know it, I do not know my parents or my family, I am alone"
"Well then Harriet," he rested a hand on her head, pulling her away from himself slowly, "I can be your friend,"
"You can?" Harriet said, tears forming in her eyes, she wasn't strong around normal guys, or at least guys like her.
"Yes Harriet, I can!"
"You'll be my first friend?"
"I...will be your first friend?"
"Yes, yes you will, but I do not know your name," She said, looking up to meet his eyes, "Am i aloud to know your name?"
"Yes! Of course, where did my manners go? My name is Lucha, its spelt Lucha, but said Lu-ka, Its weird right?"
"Your name is Lucha?" Harriet stared at him, admiring his name, she didn't think it was weird, she thought it was amazing.
"Yeah, its shit. No?"
"No! Its not shit! Its amazing!"
"It is?.."
"yes!! Its not amazing.. There is a word for it that I cannot reach.."
"Shit?"
"No!!"
